Granville New York Rotary Club
Interested in joining the Granville Rotary?
Rotary seeks members from all walks of life who want to be engaged in their communities, who are committed to ethical practices in their personal and professional lives, and who see service to other human beings in both local and global terms. Today’s Rotary seeks members from not only a wide variety of professions but from a large range of positions, from educators, small businesses owners to skilled trades people to consultants to the retired. Rotary welcomes women as well as men, individuals of limited means as well as those with more resources. It welcomes individuals of all races and religious backgrounds.
Rotary asks its members to attend its weekly meetings, to pay modest annual dues, and have a willingness to participate in club services, which can include fundraising activities for local non-profit groups or hands-on activities to help the community. In return Rotary members make the acquaintance of some of their community’s most engaged and energetic citizens. Through club presentations they become aware of many local organizations and their contributions to the community. They also become aware of issues facing the community and potential solutions. Since Rotary’s reach is global, they also become aware of various global issues and have the opportunity for service throughout much of the world. The most significant benefit of Rotary for its members is the knowledge that they have made a difference, whether it is eradicating polio from most of the world to supporting the local Scout troops.
